Timing of the post be damned...after watching Oye Lucky again on DVD I am so convinced it's a work of art, so layered you need to see it a thousand times to catch the small scenes that were never meant to stand out, a tilt of a head here, an angry glare there and so much more not waiting to be noticed.Sample this: what is the song that Lucky hums while stealing his first mercDee....[watch it again and be pleasantly surprised]
I stick my neck out and say even a movie like Catch me if you can wasn't as good as this movie is!!!

My in-laws
DONT jump the gun!
I am talking about some of the laws that I have propounded and which I believe would be the in-thing once they are made public. Hence the title, just in case you have read till here without a bulb lighting somewhere.
Anyways...here goes
#1 Law of diminishing subsets
With time, the subset of people(guys/girls) you could possibly marry, decreases. This law is especially true for you if you are a student. As you study more and acquire higher degrees, the number of girls you can possibly marry will reduce. As a borderline example, once you finish school, you would at least want someone who is literate(Indian definition). Once you graduate, you would want someone who is at least schooled and so on.
Think of what happens to girls. It's worse for them. They would normally prefer a guy who has studied more than them
#2 Law of restrictive nomenclature
The name that your parents give you is a vital, if not the sole, indicator of who you are gonna end up with. This law applies to people who manage to fall in love while studying/at work. As seen in most cases, this attraction is usually towards people in the same class or in a recently seen phenomena in the same split-up group of the joining batch of an organization.
So if most girls are named with an S and you were lovingly christened Anurag, bad luck! but if you are Saif, go grab.
#3 law of wet proximity
This law is too specific to be mentioned here but if I try and make it generic enough, it would state...
Guys who drool over a particular girl will be found at the very same places where that girl is. So if you are looking for the guy, look for the girl
example
Where there is the Komz, there is the ZB

stayin' alive
its heartening and weird at the same time when i think of the number of songs that i have never heard or paid attention to.i was listening to stayin alive after a long time in the train journey from kanpur to hyd after a 15 day vacation. it delighted me no end the way the song sounded so fresh and rejuvenating. so much so it made me write this badly edited post. i started humming the seemingly innocuous and it took me away to an endearing state of mind that was so full of hope and good times. it made me discard for those moments everything that was weighing on my mind and forced me to rethink on buying a guitar. i mean what the heck, i feel like buying one even if i know it will be of no use as i am not going to do anything worthwhile. its just gonna gather dust but i still want to own one so that i can always remind myself of the zeal with which i have wanted to play immortality on an accoustic guitar.
i am also taking a cricket bat with me this time. so dhobi and i are gonna be playing hard core cricket in the living room when we arent busy talking about mrs masand, andhra movies or jmi.dhobi has this treasure trove of stories from the electrical engg dept and the fact that he still remembers a lot of names from the past never ceases to surprise me.
looking forward to going to cal for the ggp as i search within me of all that is left of joka.its a scary thought as my memories fade with time even as the general feeling of daze lingers on regardless.
